| Footnote July 2001: The Methodist Circuit is
hoping to receive planning approval to re-develop Ebenezer Church in Brock
Road which has been closed since 26 July 1993 due to safety concerns. This
impressive blue granite building was opened on 10 October 1878. Proposals
to demolish it were put forward in April 1986 but were turned down. It
became a Listed building in April 1994. |
