been closed since 26 July 1993 due to safety concerns and remain hopeful of re-developing it,
subject to planning permission. This impressive blue granite building was opened on 10 October
1878. Proposals to demolish it were put forward in April 1986 but were turned down. It became a
Listed building in April 1994. |
