Sark E-Commerce


 Chief Pleas member Jonathan Brannam not only wants Sark to bring its feudal laws into the 21st century, but also sees many opportunities in the cyberspace world. With declining tourism revenues, 40% of the island's income comes from financial services. It hopes top set up an exclusive domain name and will look at the possibility of an internet lottery and even a premium bond service.

The island has many laws that need updating and Chief Pleas, the island's government has approved in principle to company registration, trust, company and gaming laws. 

Although the island in many respects holds onto an early 1900's lifestyle, it has a modern technological infrastructure and a skilled an versatile population.
