Herm BeachesHerm has several fine beaches to choose from for sunbathing, swimming, children paddling in the rock pools, snorkelling in the clear waters or boating.
On the east coast and enjoying views of Guernsey are the Fisherman's Beach and The Bear's Beach. Here children will enjoy the white soft sand and the many rock pools uncovered at low tide. Along this stretch of coast are the famous Herm oyster beds. Mouisonniere BeachOn the north coast you will find another long sandy beach where one is unlikely to be disturbed by anyone other than the birds. Shell BeachMoving around to the east coast and normally feeling warmer than neighbouring Guernsey, is the all time favourite bay Shell Beach. Here millions of small shells make up the sand, deposited by the Gulf Stream. The shallow water makes it popular for swimming. Belvoir BayNearby is the island's most picturesque bay of Belvoir. Again with soft white sand, it is ideal for children and popular with visiting boating enthusiasts who moor their craft in the bay and row ashore.
