Herm Beaches

Herm has several fine beaches to choose from for sunbathing, swimming, children paddling in the rock pools,  snorkelling in the clear waters or boating.

Fisherman's Beach and The Bear's Beach

On the east coast and enjoying views of Guernsey are the Fisherman's Beach and The Bear's Beach. Here children will enjoy the white soft sand and the many rock pools uncovered at low tide. Along this stretch of coast are the famous Herm oyster beds.

Mouisonniere Beach

On the north coast you will find another long sandy beach where one is unlikely to be disturbed by anyone other than the birds.

Shell Beach

Moving around to the east coast and normally feeling warmer than neighbouring Guernsey, is  the all time favourite bay Shell Beach. Here millions of small shells make up the sand, deposited by the Gulf Stream. The shallow water makes it popular for swimming.

Belvoir Bay

Nearby is the island's most picturesque bay of Belvoir. Again with soft white sand, it is ideal for children and popular with visiting boating enthusiasts who moor their craft in the bay and row ashore.
