Jersey Normandie Association's Jeux Intervilles

Description
St Saviour are hosting the Jersey Normandie Association's Jeux Intervilles at Granville Playing Fields. These games take place bi-anually with Normandy and Jersey taking turns. There are at the moment 11 parishes twinned with Normandie towns and each team is merged with their counterpart to play the other 10 teams. Each team consists of 12 members (6 Jersey & 6 French). The event in 2006 was held in Portbail and in 2004 in Grouville. Refreshments and food stalls will be available.

Jersey Mencap South Coast Charity Challenge Walk

Walk the beautiful coastal paths around Jersey’s South Coast for Jersey Mencap – Supporting adults and children with a learning disability, from La Rocque to Corbiere, 14 miles along the South Coast of the island. All money raised is for Jersey Mencap who look after the needs of children and adults with learning disabilities who live in Jersey

Liberation Festival

Open Garden - Villa Devereux

Description
Home to inventor Ron Hickman and his wife Helen. This four-acre garden, with a wonderful view over St Brelade’s Bay, consists mainly of undulating lawns interspersed with specimen trees such as Hornbeam, Metasequoia, Cherries, Ginko and Magnolias. A large tree sculpture is a remnant from the Great Storm of 1987, whilst other sculptures have been created by Walenty Pytel, John Skelton and George Kowzan. To either side of the house are Japanese style gardens featuring Acers, Azaleas and a “Dear Scarer” over a water trough. There are also many other interesting plants to be seen including many varieties of Camellias and Heathers. All proceeds donated to JEPS (Jersey England Parent Support).

'Jersey Seniors Classic' Pro Am Golf Tournament

Description
The Jersey Seniors Classic returns to La Moye this June. This unique event will play host to the top 72 players from the European Seniors Tour. The tournament consists of a 3-day pro-am with individual amateurs playing with a different professional on each of the 3 days of the pro-am (play is in four balls - two amateurs and two professionals. The professional’s record their own scores for days 2 and 3 (Friday and Saturday) of the pro-am and then play their final round on Sunday without amateur participants, making this a 54-hole professional event. The amateur field consists of people who come from all over the world, including America & Barbados, as well as businessman from Jersey & UK. Over the past few years we have had Mike Gatting (former England cricketer), Russ Abbott (Comedian) and Nigel Mansell as our celebrity guests.
