| 9 hole Golf course planned 18 Sept 00 - A Sark businessman Colin Teers has won his 2 year fight to build a golf course. The Appeals Committee upheld his complaint against the planning authority. The course will be built in the next 12 months on the Fripponerie tenement. A 30 bed hotel will now also go ahead on the Beau Regard tenement owned by the de Carteret family. | Sunday sailings needed 27 Oct 00- Islanders are calling on the Chief Pleas to approve Sunday passenger boat sailings to the island next summer. The island has traditionally been closed to day-trippers on a Sunday, but the experiment in 2000 proved popular. Many feel that Sark tourism will suffer unless the rule can be relaxed. |
