| Welcome. We invite you to take a look at the website of the Island Churches Guernsey Festival Chorus - Guernsey's popular and award winning choir at www.festivalchorus.org.gg . We are a Christian interdenominational based Choir with an evangelical approach. Our Statement of Faith is based on that of the Evangelical Alliance of London. | | Roy Sarre, Musical Director | |
There you will find all the information you will need about the Choir and the exciting programme of events planned for 2001. We also reflect on the very special Millennium year 2000. In October we celebrated our 15th Anniversary under the leadership of Roy Sarre, Musical Director. We had a wonderful evening participating in the BT Voices for Hospices - a global concert which featured all the fun and music of The Last Night at the Proms with the choir and guests, The Guernsey Concert Band and Robin Littler ATCL. Click on BT Voices for photos from the event. Our final event of 2000 was the ever popular Christmas Concerts performed in front of a full house. We also give details on how to join the choir and you are able to listen to tracks from our 1999 live concert CD and cassette below; 'Offerings' | | the choir's first album | |
We are always looking to recruit new members. Take a look at the Join the Choir page for more details. The new Millennium saw the launch of our site which went live on 19th June 2000 (see our News page) and we thank everyone for the interest shown so far. We have already had visitors from the Central and East coast of the United States and from Europe. We have also added a powerful search engine to the site to help you find what you are looking for.
